Mr. Wendell Losey, 85, Jonesborough, passed away Saturday, May 5, 2012, at the Lakebridge Health Care Center after a lengthy illness.

Mr. Losey was a native of Mt. Pleasant Michigan, the son of the late Ephriam and Grace Betham Losey.

He was a US Army Veteran serving in World War II. Mr. Losey received his Bachelors Degree at the General Motors Institute and University of Michigan He was a mechanical engineer for Jervis B. Webb Co. and for the GM Industry. Mr. Losey loved camping, playing banjo and square dancing.

He was a kind and considerate man always being very respectful of others and always having time for others, he also loved spending time with his family. He was of the Methodist faith.

Survivors include his wife Nancy Paxton Losey, Jonesborough, two daughters, Lynne Clapp and husband Lynn, Illinois, Wendy Jackson, Georgia, three sons, John Kach and wife Eileen, Illinois, Bruce Kach and wife Sharon, Missouri, Greg Losey, and wife Shirley, Florida, eight grandchildren, Noel Turner, Leigh Webster-Barnes, Amanda Gordon, Kori Kach, Jonas Clapp, Ashley Clapp, Matthew Kach, Amber Kach, five great grandchildren, and two sisters Dolores Bonardelli, Michigan, and Mary Kay Rollins, Michigan.

Funeral services for Mr. Losey will be conducted on Tuesday, May 8, 2012, at 7 pm at the Dillow-Taylor Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jeremy Dykes officiating. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 pm prior to the service.

Honorary Pallbearers will be John Kach, Bruce Kach, Greg Losey, Lynn Clapp, George Slagle, and Joe Arnold.

The Losey family wanted to thank the staff of John Reed Nursing Home and the staff of Lakebridge Healthcare Center for their wonderful care of Mr. Losey.
