Mrs. Elizabeth “Granny” Clark, age 84, Johnson City, entered into the presence of the Lord Wednesday, April 25, 2012 at her residence. She will be greatly missed, but her family rejoices in the fact that she no longer experiences the pain of the world.

Mrs. Clark was a native and life long resident of Washington County. She was the loving wife to Thomas Carroll Clark for 60 years and the devoted mother to Danny C. (Debby) Clark and Eddie Clark. She had 12 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren, but she was “Granny” to everyone. Grandchildren, Mallory Clark, Angee & Will Lee, Matt & Julie Houston, Josh Houston, Sara & Andy Stewart, Matthew Clark, Heather & Timmy Forinash and Ashlee Fugate; one sister Hazel Bailey, West Chester, PA.

She was an active member of Antioch Baptist Church, serving as a Sunday School Teacher. She will be remembered for being a Christian example to everyone she knew and sharing her talent for making the best fresh apple cake, strawberry pie and banana pudding.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Earl & Flora O’Dell, an infant daughter, Karen Elizabeth Clark, one sister, Margaret Dykes and three brothers, Earnest O’Dell, Raymond O’Dell and Walter O’Dell.

Celebration of life service will be conducted 7:00 pm Saturday, April 28, 2012 at Antioch Baptist Church with Rev. Pete Tackett & Rev. Kenneth Kyker officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00 pm Saturday prior to the service.

Interment services will be conducted 2:00 pm Sunday, April 29, 2012 at New Salem Baptist Church.

Pallbearers will be Tracy Teal, Andy Rowe, David Salts, Perry Whitaker, Jerry Stevens and Ronnie Fine.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Antioch Baptist Church Building Fund 1014 Antioch Rd. Johnson City, TN 37604.
