Mrs. Mary G. Weems, 74, Jonesborough, is now in the loving arms of her Savior having passed away Friday, April 13, 2012, at her residence.

She was a Washington County native, the daughter of the late DC and Bernice Phipps Graybeal. She was also preceded in death by her husband Harry Weems and a grandson Michael Bennett.

Mrs. Weems was a retired LPN working for the VA and Colonial Hills retirement home.

She was a member of Jonesborough United Methodist Church.

Survivors include two daughters, Carol Weems, Johnson City, Renee Bennett, Jonesborough, one son Shawn Weems and wife Trish, Jonesborough, two sisters, Shirley Atkins, Weaverville, N.C. and Doris Pohl, Kirkwood, Missouri, two grandchildren, Joshua Bennett, and Adam Bennett, four great-grandchildren, Brookelyn Bennett, Brandon Bennett, Alexis Bennett, and Kaden Bennett, and several aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews.

Funeral services for Mrs. Weems will be conducted Monday, April 16, 2012 at 2 pm at the Jonesborough United Methodists Church with Pastor Tammy Wright officiating. Interment services will follow in the Fairview Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be family and friends.
