Mrs. Joan Melva Hardy, age 73, Telford, passed away Friday, April 6, 2012 at her residence.

Mrs. Hardy was born in Antigonish, Nova Scotia, CN and daughter of the late Berton Elwyn & Myrtle Elena Murphy Langille. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Hardy was also preceded in death by great-grandson, Braeden Hardy, four brothers, Frank, Clyde, Doug and Glen and two sisters, Audrey and Evelyn.

She was a member of New Salem Baptist Church.

Mrs. Hardy was a Homemaker.

Survivors include her husband, Millard “Wes” Hardy, Telford; three daughters and sons-in-law, Twyla Hardy & Earl “Butch” Wallace, Lori & Charlie Hill and Kimberly Hardy; grandson, Brandon Hardy and wife Heather; granddaughters, Paige Hardy, Alexis Hill, Erica Hill and Sydney Hill; sister and brother-in-law, Laurel & Dennis St. Germain; brothers and sisters-in-law, Bert & Beatrice Langille, Leslie “Herb” & Vera Langille and Gary Langille.

Memorial services will be conducted 4:00 pm Tuesday, April 10, 2012 at New Salem Baptist Church with Pastor Craig Ponder officiating.

Music will be provided by Pastor Craig Ponder, Charles Hill and Erica Hill.
