Funeral services will be conducted 8:00 pm Saturday, March 17, 2012 at Dillow-Taylor Funeral Home with Pastor Christy Taylor and Brother Greg Davis officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 pm Saturday prior to the service.

Interment services will be conducted 2:00 pm Sunday, March 18, 2012 at Fairview Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Troy Ward, Adrian Platt, Terry Hale, Don Lewis, Rick Tunnell, Pete Sokol, Eddie Sluder, Mark Shelton, Seth Bradburn and Kenneth Riner. Honorary pallbearers will be Louis Deakins, Roy Campbell, Lester Jones, Carl Hensley, Glenn Swanner, James Mahoney, Sheryl Carey, Sam Jackson, Carl Barker, Joey Keys, Ralph Fulkerson, Sr. and Les Slowey.

Mr. John C. White, Jr., age 77, Jonesborough, went peacefully to be with the Lord Thursday, March 15, 2012 at the Johnson City Medical Center with his family by his side. Mr. White was a native of Washington County and son of the late Clay & Mary Cloyd White. In addition to his parents, Mr. White was also preceded in death by one brother, Raymond Bruce White. He was a member of Fairview United Methodist Church. Mr. White retired from Eastman Chemical Co. after 27 years of service. He was an avid baseball fan and player, enjoyed watching UT Football and farming. Survivors include his wife, Mildred Smith White, Jonesborough; daughter and son-in-law, Debra & Joe Carr, Jonesborough; three granddaughters, Ashley Carr, Gray, Haley Carr and Katelyn Carr, both of Jonesborough; two sisters, Betty Carey and Virginia White, both of Jonesborough; sisters-in-law, Janice White, Marie & Louis Deakins and Betty Slowey; two nephews, Sheryl Carey and Troy Ward; two nieces, Tessa Carey and Rhonda Davis.
