The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 pm Wednesday, March 7, 2012 at the Dillow-Taylor Funeral Home with graveside services following at Highland Cemetery with Rev. Terry Jones officiating.

Pallbearers will be Mike Hensley, Richard Haines, and David Callahan.

Mr. Brownlow “Brown” Ledford, 96, Johnson City, went home to have a glorious family reunion with his Lord and personal Savior along side his earthly family, Sunday, March 4, 2012. Mr. Ledford was born March 26, 1915 in Unicoi County Tenn. to the late Jason Lee “Jake” and Mary Lovette Ledford. He was also preceded in death by his wife Roberta Tipton Ledford, who he married in 1937, two sons, Robert and Calvin, brothers and sisters, Jim, Amos, Orville, Woodrow, O.M., Zeb, Clyde, Lee, Minty, and Gertrude, and several nieces and nephews. He retired a transit bus driver. Mr. Ledford was of the Freewill Baptist Faith. Survivors include grandson William Ledford, Greenville, granddaughters, Sherri Hughes and husband James, Melissa Norris and husband Marty, all of Johnson City, five great grandchildren, Chelter, Josh, Holly, Rebekah and Eric and great great grandchild Haley, and special friends Phyllis and Janice.
