Memorial services will be conducted 7:00 pm Thursday, March 1, 2012 at Telford United Methodist Church with Pastor Richard Looney officiating.

Mrs. Janie A. Peters, age 60, Telford, passed away Tuesday, February 28, 2012 at the Johnson City Medical Center.

Mrs. Peters was a native of Roderfield, West Virginia and daughter of the late Bert Woodward & Ida N. Blankenship Hurley. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Peters was also preceded in death by one sister, Judy Shelton.

She was a member of Telford United Methodist Church.

Mrs. Peters was a Certified Nursing Assistant at Green Valley Developmental Center.

Survivors include her husband, Gary W. Peters, Telford; children, Keith Kennedy and wife Carolyn, Jason Peters, all of Johnson City and Shannon Peters, Telford; one brother, Gene Hurley, Johnson City; four sisters, Buddie Taylor, Johnson City, Sandy Reece, Clarksville, TN, Cathy Woodward, Nashville, TN and Patsy Woodward, Jonesborough; grandchildren, Jasmine Foster, Jaleessa Kennedy, Devon Peters and Jordan Kennedy; several beloved nieces and nephews; and special four legged friend “Prissy”.
