The family will receive family and friends Tuesday, February 28, 2012 from 1:00-2:00 PM at Dillow-Taylor Funeral Home. Graveside services will follow at Mt Zion Baptist Church Cemetery with Minister Kelley Pierson officiating. Pallbearers will be family and friends.

Mr. Michael M. Garland, age 60, Jonesborough, passed away Friday February 24, 2012 at the Johnson City Medical Center after a long illness.

Mr. Garland was a native of Maryville, Tennessee and the son of Leola Moore Garland and the late Robert Garland. He was also preceded in death by his nephew Casey Garland.

Mr. Garland was owner and operator of Farm Direct Greenhouses.

Mr. Garland loved growing flowers, gardening and wood working.

Survivors including his mother are his wife Carol Luca Garland, one daughter and son-in-law, Deanna and Dan Hansinger; one brother Larry Garland; one sister Patricia Garland; three grandchildren; one nephew Skyler Garland; several aunts and uncles and his beloved dog Foxie.
