Funeral services will be conducted 8:00 pm Friday, February 24, 2012 at Dillow-Taylor Funeral Home with Rev. Garland James and Rev. Tony Crossnoe officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 pm Friday prior to the service.

Interment services will be conducted 11:00 am Saturday, February 25, 2012 at McCarty Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Danny Sauls, David Sauls, Robert Jones, John Scoville, Robert Scoville, Anthony Ledbetter and Donnie Shipley. Honorary pallbearers will be Ben Buchanan, Will Buchanan and Jesse Buchanan.


Mrs. Edith Louise Sauls, age 91, Telford, passed away Wednesday, February 22, 2012 at the Johnson City Medical Center.

Mrs. Sauls was born in Jonesborough and daughter of the late Albert & Margaret D. Croyle Murr. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Sauls was also preceded in death by two brothers, Robert Murr and Earl Murr.

She was a member of McCarty United Methodist Church and The Women’s Society of McCarty United Methodist Church.

Mrs. Sauls was employed by Moody Dunbar Pepper Plant & Baxter Pharmaseal.

Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Delbert & Evelyn Sauls, Limestone; daughter and son-in-law, Martha & Kenneth Jones, Kernersville, NC; grandchildren, Tammy J. Buchanan, Mocksville, NC, Danny Sauls, Telford, Diane J. Scoville, King, NC, Robert K. Jones, Kernersville, David Sauls, Limestone and Jamie J. Ledbetter, Mocksville, NC; eight great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild; one sister, Helen Bryant, Johnson City; and several nephews and one niece.
