A Memorial service will be held Saturday, February 11, 2012 at 2 pm at Dillow-Taylor Funeral Home in Jonesborough with Bro. Clay Hooks officiating. The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 pm Saturday prior to the service.

Mr. Joel “Chuck” Carden, 57, Telford, passed away suddenly Tuesday, February 7, 2012 at his residence.

He was a native of Carter County the son of the late Charles Carden and Mary Oliver Green. He was also preceded in death by his step-father Gary Green and one brother David Carden.

Mr. Carden was a Carpenter (Contractor) by trade. He was a member of Cherokee Baptist Church.

Survivors in addition to is mother include four sons, Daniel and Charles “Casey” Carden, Hampton, David Carden wife Jennifer, Savanna Ga., Joel Carden, Mississipi, one daughter Amanda Carden, Kingsport, former wife Carol Carden, one brother, Robin Carden, wife Sherry, Johnson City, three Grandchildren, Curtis, Haley, and Kaitiyn Carden, two sisters Diane Martin, husband Ed, and Jeanie Pappolas, husband Nick both of Telford, and a special friend nephew Jerry Dale Carden and several nieces and nephews.
