A graveside service will be held at the New Victory Methodist Church Cemetery on Sat. Jan. 28 at 1:00 pm with Pastor Tammy Wright presiding. Visitors are welcome at the home.
We thank Tammy Wright, Dr. Jason Hatjioannou, Dr. Mark Chang, Amedisys Hospice, and all of our wonderful friends and neighbors for all the help during this sad time.

Jack Headlee, 86, passed away at home on Monday, Jan. 23, 2012 after a long battle with heart disease.
He was born in Everett, Washington on Oct. 10, 1925 to Thomas E. Headlee and Jesse Love Headlee. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brother Tom Headlee, Jr. and sister Clara May Phelps. He is survived by his loving wife Martha Sue . He has three devoted children: Jack Headlee, Jr and wife Linda. of Eatonville, Wa.. Mark Headlee of Mercer Island, WA. Sue Tucker and husband Tom of Kamiah, Idaho. He is survived by two step children: Michael Dixon and wife Britteny; and Pamela Bryson. He has eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Several nieces and nephews also survive. He will be missed by his loving canine friend, Kagey.
He graduated from Everett High School and immediately joined the US Navy during World War II. He served aboard the USS Appalachian. Following the war he attended Western Washington Teacher’s College, now Western Washington University. He earned his Master’s Degree in Education and was certified to teach K-12. He also received his Principal’s certificate.
He began his teaching career in Kent, Washington. He soon moved to Bellingham and taught at Shuksan Middle School. In 1959 he began teaching High School English, Drama, and Debate at Mt. Baker High School in Deming, Washington. He also served as Vice-Principal for seven years. He loved teaching, coaching the debate teams, and had a special love of working with students involved in the school’s Drama program. He also directed plays at the Bellingham Theater Guild and won Best Director for the production of “I Do, I Do.”
Jack was also an active member of the Elks and served as Chaplain. He loved to play cards and he and Sue traveled extensively throughout the United States in their reliable RV. He loved the outdoors and worked for many summers with the United States Forest Service in the Mount Baker National Forest.
