Funeral services will be conducted 8:00 pm Wednesday, January 18, 2012 at Dillow-Taylor Funeral Home with Bro. Johnny Carney officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 pm Wednesday prior to the service.



Interment services will be conduced 1:00 pm Thursday, January 19, 2012 at Lyons Cemetery, Elizabethton. The family request that everyone meet at the cemetery by 1 pm.



Pallbearers will be Lee Archer, David Alan Archer, Jeremy Carroll, Matthew Carroll, Danny Combs and Mark Breeden.



Mrs. Irene B. Carroll, age 79, passed away Monday, January 16, 2012 at Lakebridge Health Care Center.



Mrs. Carroll was born in Pennington Gap, VA and daughter of the late Jimmie & Emma Stewart Bowen. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Carroll was also preceded in death by her husband, Paul Carroll, three sisters and three brothers.



She was a member of Church of God of Prophecy.



Survivors include five daughters, Rita Vance, Zula Carroll, and Emily Orr, all of Jonesborough, Janice Breeden, Elizabethton and Dorothy “Dot” Combs, Johnson City; sons, Paul Carroll, Jr., Telford, Kennedy Carroll, Gray and Donnie Carroll, Johnson City; ten grandchildren, sixteen great-grandchildren; and one sister, Dallie Bowens, Pennington Gap.
