Chief Master Sgt. Ralph David Bagaley, Jr. Retired

Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 pm Thursday, January 19, 2012 at Dillow-Taylor Funeral Home with Minister Virgil Bennett. The family will receive friends from 11:00-1:00 pm Thursday prior to the service. Interment services will follow at Mountain Home National Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Bob Lilly, Douglas Lilly, Randy Lilly, Dallas Lilly, Darrell Miller, Jr. and Neil Greenwell.

Chief Master Sgt. Ralph David Bagaley, Jr, Retired, age 82, Jonesborough, passed away Sunday, January 15, 2012 of injuries suffered in an automobile/tractor trailer accident on November 22, 2011 in Limestone.



Mr. Bagaley was a resident on E. Main Street since 1975 and was preceded in death by his parents, Ralph & Dorothy Cubbage Bagaley and a son Ralph David Bagaley, III.



He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Nadine L. Bagaley; son, Ronald Radford, Johnson City; sister, Joan Miller & family, Columbus, Ohio; brother, David Bagaley and wife Carol of Pittsburgh, PA; grandsons, Amos Libby and wife Ariana of Portland;, ME and Jason Libby and wife Sarah of Windham, ME; twin great-grandchildren, Molly & Harbour Libby, Portland; special nephew, John B. Lilly and wife Shirley, Johnson City; cousins, Robert Lilly, Jonesborough and Hasford Slemp and wife Jean of Elizabethton, who assisted Ralph with some of life’s everyday challenges; in addition to many loving nieces, nephews and cousins, Mr. Bagaley maintained very close contact with the many friends he and Nadine made both in the States and in Europe during his 27 year career in the United States Air Force. He was a 32nd degree Mason in the Roman-Hathaway Lodge # 0223 in Rome, NY. He was also a member of VFW Post 2108 and American Legion Post #24 in Johnson City. Mr. Bagaley a builder of Custom Log Homes loved to hunt and enjoyed many weekends in Virginia with his buddies in the Sportsman Hunting Club.



He most enjoyed his meetings with “the ole timers whittlers” at the Jonesborough Senior Center.



Mr. Bagaley remained a member of Bethel Baptist Church where he and Nadine were married August 4, 1951.
