 SERVICE SCHEDULE
Mrs. Mary Elizabeth “Betty” Dearstone, age 69, Johnson City, passed away Friday, March 30, 2018 at the Johnson City Medical Center.
Mrs. Dearstone was born in Washington County and daughter of the late Harry & Mary Jarrett Holder. She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Crystal Dearstone, brother, Harry “Jimmy” Holder, sister, Marie Phillips, and her father & mother-in-law, Harold Hugh & Jessie Dearstone.
She retired from Kroger’s on N. Roan Street where she made many friends. She loved her grandchildren.
Survivors include her husband, Allan Dearstone, Johnson City; daughter and son-in-law, Pam & Chris Holt, Johnson City; grandchildren, Jonathan Holt (Heather), Andrew Holt, Abigayle Holt and Addyson Holt; great-grandchildren, Marcus Kaylor and soon to be Emmalee Holt; nieces, Amy Livermore, Stacy Jewell and Heather Smith; nephews, J.W. and Carol Dearstone; sister-in-law, Susie Holder; and two brothers-in-law, Bob Phillips and Jerry Dearstone (Nancy).
The family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00 pm Sunday, April 1, 2018 at Dillow-Taylor Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 am Monday, April 2, 2018 at Dillow-Taylor Funeral Home with Dr. Tim Ross and Rev. Dale Ferrell officiating. Interment services will follow at Maple Lawn Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Andrew Holt, Daniel Livermore, Justin Whittemore, Abigayle Holt, Jonathan Holt and Tyler Smith. Honorary pallbearers will be Addyson Holt and Alfred Smith.
Memorial donations may be made to St. Jude’s Research Center 501 St. Jude’s Place, Memphis, TN 38105.

This family was truly blessed to know such a wonderful woman
She loved her family and would do anything for them if they
were hurting she would be hurting. Betty never had an unkind
word for anyone and alway tried to help. Even when she was
exhausted and hurting at work she was always there for you.
