Mr. James “Jimmy” R. Walker Jr., Jonesborough, age 70, passed away Wednesday August 10, 2016 at the Johnson City Medical Center.
Mr. Walker was a native of Washington County and the son of the late James R. Walker Sr., and Geraldine Walker. He was also preceded in death by an infant daughter and one sister, Doris.
Mr. Walker is survived by his wife, Deloris Turner Walker, sons Jamie Walker, (Cindy) Joey Walker, and Jason Walker; daughter, Julie Walker Ball, (Josh); step-children, Loretta Tarlton, April Tarlton, (Kevin) and Douglas Tarlton; eight grand-children; two sisters, Peggy Bacon (Frankie) and Jewell Hensley; and several nephews and nieces.
The family will receive family and friends Tuesday, August 16, 2016 1:00-2:00 PM at Dillow- Taylor Funeral Home. Graveside services will follow at Mountain National Cemetery with Rev. Chad Hooks officiating.

|I grew up learning this man. He always made
people laugh. He was a hard worker, despite his
health issues. I admired him and looked up to
him as a mentor of sorts.
I am so sorry for the loss. Jamie, Joey, Jason,
and Julie: I send you all my love and heartfelt
prayers of comfort during this hard and trying
time. Also tot he rest of the family.
Heaven has gained a good one, and we shall meet
again one sweet day.
