|My father, William Hampton, worked at Klopman Mills for 30 years. Dad and Mr. Payne were good friends. Gay stayed in touch with Dad and visited him regularly after Dad retired. When Dad became so sick, Gay continued to visit. Gay was always kind, positive and genuine. I will never forget and will always appreciate Mr. Payne. |

|I will greatly miss Gay! I have many fond memories of him
from my childhood. I spent many hours at the house playing
with Linda and I especially remember being there on Sunday
afternoons at times and eating dinner and playing with Linda
while Gay and Blanche took their Sunday afternoon nap! Then
I would have to go home when it was time for us each to go to
our respective Sunday evening church services. I am so
thankful for the kindness he always showed to my Mom and
how he would help her with anything she needed. I will be
praying for you all in the days ahead. |
|My Sympathies for his family. I will truly miss Gay, I could not ask for a friendlier or Kind neighbor. I will miss our talks about our gardens. He was fun to talk with.
Love and sympathies.|
