He was always a bright spot in my Sundays. I liked talking with him about the Cardinals which was our shared passion. He was a kind, gentle and funny guy when you got to know him. It was wonderful getting to know him and he will be missed. He is with God whom he loved with all of his being. I feel blessed to have known him as little as I did.

David was the salt of the earth. He was a simple man with a pure and simple faith. David’s heart was full of love, generous to those who would pull along side and listen to his story. David had more distinctive adventures in life then one can imagine. I will miss his monthly phone calls and stories – especially the baseball exploits. The gift he leaves behind are the “David” stories. The stories that will continue to make us laugh and cry… David will be missed by many – especially that annual Christmas card that was so important for him to send. The “Super Fan” will be missed. Jimmy, Jon and Brian you are in our prayers.
