I am so very sorry for your loss of Billy. I
purchased a lot of peaches from his father and him,
and my memories of him will always be of his smile,
his warmth, and his friendliness. In my interactions
with him, he was a dear man with a kind spirit and a
smile for everyone. I will very much miss him and
our little chats by the road. He made the world a
better place, and the loss is ours. Please accept my
deepest sympathies.

To Mr. Bill Hankal: We knew you and your son only as our "peach man" and saw you for several weeks each summer over a number of years. How we welcomed your peach stand each year! How nice you always were. We were so shocked to read of Billy's death and will miss him. We send our deepest sympathy to you and your family and pray God's comfort for you all.
Sincerely, Bill and Virginia Kennedy, Jonesborough

I played in a band with Billy in high school and though I didn't stay close to him, he always gave me that big grin everytime we ran into each other. He was a heck of a guitarist back then and hope he never quite. God Bless You Billy.

I went to school with Billy and we shared a common interest in music and hanging out on the weekends as kids. I can truly say that Billy was one of the best kept secrets in this area , he was an amazing guitarist! He was truly very talented! The thing that always shined the most about Billy to me was his kindness. He always treated me like a friend and when I would see him out and about he would take the time to talk and catch up. My prayers go out to his family. He was a good friend.
